Richard Shenkman, 60, and advertising executive, abducted his former wife, Nancy Tyler, on Tuesday, July 7. Skenkman had asked for a newspaper to remove its article about him and Tyler.

Skenkman and Tyler were divorcing after going through 3 years of proceedings. In 2008, Skenkman and Tyler were granted their divorce but Skenkman appealed against the decision.

Police are still negotiating to try to end the hostage situation on Tuesday, July 7.
