Richard “Ric Ric” Henyard, 34, will be executed in Florida. The execution of Ricahrd Henyard is scheduled despite appeals filed to the Supreme Court to postpone Richard Henyard’s execution.

Richard “Ric Ric” Henyard:

Henyard will be executed by a lethal injection at Florida State Prison in Starke. Richard Henyard was convicted fro the Jan. 30, 1993 fatal shootings of two girls who were sisters. Jamilya Lewis, 7, and Jasmine Lewis, 3, were shot in their heads. The girls’ mother, Dorothy Lewis, was raped and shot at several times during a carjacking. Dorothy Lewis survived. The Lewis females were together when they were captured by Richard Henyard and his accomplice. Jamilya Lewis and Jasmine Lewis had cried for their mother during some point and Richard Henyard supposedly killed them. Richard Henyard’s state appointed defense attorney, Mark Gruber, had filed two appeals and a brief to the Supreme Court to urgently request a postponement of the set execution at 6 pm EDT.
