Richard McTear Jr, 21, was arrested on suspicion he threw a baby , 3 months old, from his car. McTear had a fight with his girlfriend on Tuesday, May 5. McTear picked up the baby and threw him on the ground. McTear then drove away with the baby in his car.

A motorist found the baby on Interstate 275, in Tampa, Florida. The baby was said to have died at around 4:30 am Tuesday. McTear is not related to the baby.

McTear did not answer the reporters’ questions about throwing the baby out of the car window.
