Richard Cooey, 41, has been rejected by both a federal appeals court and a high court in Ohio. Cooey’s appeal to overturn his death sentence by lethal injection has been rejected. Cooey had earlier claimed that he was too fat to die by lethal injection. Cooey weighed 267 pounds and stood at 5 feet, 7 inches tall.

This means Cooey will have his appointment to die on next Tuesday, Oct. 14. Cooey was convicted and sentenced for killing 2 students in 1986. These students were from the University of Akron.
