Richard Collier: Tyrone Hartsfield charged for shooting Richard Collier

Tyrone Romaro Hartsfield is accused of shooting Richard Collier, Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman. Hartsfield was alleged to have shot Collier 14 times. Richard Collier is now paralyzed and his left leg below the knee was amputated because it could not be saved. Richard Collier was shot on Sep. 2, 2008, and was hospitalized until mid Oct.

Police suspected that Hartsfield was taking revenge against Collier for a quarrel at a night club in April 2008. Hartsfield followed Collier’s car to an apartment house, where he alleged shot Richard Collier. Hartsfield was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Hartsfield is detained in Duval County jail. He has no bail conditions.

The judge has set a pre-trial hearing for next week.
