Ria Ramkissoon & Javon Thompson: Ramkissoon pleaded guilty for Thompson’s death (photos/ video)

Updated on March 31, 2009: Ria Ramkissoon, 22, is so brainwashed that she made history by insisting on a brand new kind of plea deal. Ramkissoon pleaded guilty on a plea deal only when prosecutors agreed to a clause in her plea bargain. If her dead son, Javon Thompson, is resurrected, her plea will be withdrawn. Ramkissoon will also testify against members of the now defunct group called One Mind Ministries/ 1 Mind Ministries.

Ria Ramkissoon’s plea deal involved a suspended 20 year sentence and 5 years of probation. Ria Ramkissoon is required to receive treatment which includes deprogramming. An expert on cult behavior will attempt to counsel her.

Javon’s father, Robert Thompson, was not in court on Monday, March 30. He was ill.

Ria Ramkissoon wore a purple jumpsuit when she attended court. Did she disobey 1 Mind Ministries by wearing purple? 1 Mind Ministries members had to wear all white. Her lawyer, Steven D. Silverman, asked for bail but was refused.

Ria Ramkissoon was from Trinidad. She relocated to US when she was 8. Ria Ramkissoon had no prior criminal record. Steven D. Silverman claimed she was manipulated by cult members of 1 Mind Ministries.

Queen Antoinette, 40, the alleged cult leader of 1 Mind Ministries; and Trevia Williams, 21 did not get a hearing for their bail yet. Marcus A. Cobbs, also a member of 1 Mind Ministries, faced a paternity case filed by Tiffany N. Smith, who was a former member of the same cult too. Police are searching for a fifth cult member, Steven Bynum, who is related to the same case of the murder of Javon Thompson.
