Ashlen Batson, from Newark, won the Miss Arkansas 2008 beauty pageant title. Ashlen Batson had competed before a crowd of 2000. This was Miss Arkansas’ 75 th year. Miss Arkansas 2008 had 43 contestants. Miss Arkansas hopefuls were aged between 17 – 24. The prize money for Miss Arkansas 2008 was $67, 800 in scholarship funds.
