In Vienna, Upper Austria, Reinhard S, killed his wife, Barbara, his daughter Natalie aged 7, and his parents and father-in-law. He surrendered himself to police. Reinhard S walked into the police station in Viennaat at 3.20 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Reinhard S’s parents’ home was in a small town called Ansfeldennear Linz.

Reinhard S’ father-in-law body was removed from his house in a temporary coffin.

Reinhard S confessed he killed Barbara. Then Reinhard S killed Natalie because Natalie saw him kill her mother Barbara. Reinhard S drove to his parents’ place in Ansfeldennear Linz. Then Reinhard S drove to his father-in-law’s house and killed him. Reinhard S then tried to commit suicide via hanging but failed.

Reinhard S’ murder weapon was an axe. It has not been found yet. Reinhard S appeared confused to the police. Reinhard S & Barbara came from wealthy families.

Police had to guard Reinhard S’ parents’ house. They would do a thorough forensic science investigation there.
