By Clarencia Cynrae on August 23rd, 2008The Doors’ surviving musicians, Ray Manzarek (keyboard) and Robby Krieger have been slammed with copyright violations. Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger improperly used The Doors’ name and images during their 2003 concert tour.
Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger were ordered by the court to pay about $2.5 million to the drummer John Densmore, the parents of late singer Jim Morrison and the parents of Jim Morrison’s dead wife (Pamela Courson) Pamela Courson died in 1974. The Doors was a band based in Los Angeles. The Doors had a string of hits in the 1960s including “Light My Fire,” “L.A. Woman” and “Riders on the Storm.”
