Jeremy Piven left his Broadway stage show because he had mercury poisoning from high consumption of raw seafood. Raul Esparza, one of Jeremy Piven’s former co-stars in the Broadway show, “Speed the Plow”, addressed the audience. Raul Esparza may have cracked a joke to imply things were running better with Piven absent. Or Esparza may have menat what he said.

Raul Esparza said:

“I’m sure you’ve read the headlines about the silliness in our show. Today was the first time I really enjoyed playing this show. I hope you weren’t expecting a big TV star.”

Jeremy Piven will be replaced by Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz, and then William H. Macy. Are Butz and Macy big TV stars?

Elizabeth Moss, another co-star in “Speed the Plow”, was said to have laughed or giggled when Esparza made his comment.
