Rachael Ramonas: Miss Connecticut Outstanding Teen Ramonas busted (photos)
By Clarencia Cynrae on February 25th, 2009Rachael Ramonas, 17, the reigning Miss Connecticut Outstanding Teen, hosted a party that spinned out of control. Ramonas’ 24 guests were arrested for underaged drinking. Ramonas had previously organized a benefit for victims of a fatal crash of a teen driver who had a history of DUI. Ramonas has been busted for hypocrisy.
Ramonas may or may not be one of the 24 charged for underaged drinking at her own party. Police refused to release the names of those charged because they are juveniles. Police found beer, rum and ping pong balls at Ramonas’ party. Ramonas’ parents were out of town but returned the following day after the party.
After the arrests, Ramonas’ home phone had no one answering calls made by the media. Ramonas’ school mates at Wolcott High School refused to speak to the press. Even Ramonas’ principal refused to talk.
Twelve teens ran away when police arrived at the party this week. Ramonas future is clouded as her beauty queen crown is affiliated with the Miss America pageant. Pageant authorities are considering their choices on actions on Ramonas when her term as Miss Connecticut Outstanding Teen ends in June 2009.
