Raccoon dogs: Chinese raccoon dogs melamine deaths
By Clarencia Cynrae on October 21st, 2008Melamine, the chemical found in fake milk, is now found in dog chow in China. How widespread is melamine in the food chain? It has crossed the species barrier from human to canine. Where will melamine turn up next? 1,500 Chinese raccoon fur dogs have died as a result of feeding on delicious melamine tainted dog food.
The news on the Raccoon dogs’ melamine related deaths was released recently here although the dogs died during the past TWO MONTHS.
In 2007, made-in-China pet food used in the USA caused some deaths of domestic pets. Melamine was virtually unknown back then. It looks like melamine might turn up in different foods until the entire populations are wiped off.
