Rabeca Kemp: Kemp killed in The Gas Pipe shooting

Rabeca Rae Kemp, 18, of Mont Vernon, was killed in the hardware store called The Gas Pipe in Far North Dallas. Two suspects entered the store and one of them started shooting on Dec. 30, Tuesday night, 9 pm. Kemp was inside The Gas Pipe with her boyfriend, who was not shot.

Tonya Doss, Kemp’s mother, said her daughter wanted to start junior college in January. Doss described Rabeca Kemp as happy, popular, intelligent and hopeful for her future.

James Caldwell, 60, a store worker, was seriously wounded. Caldwell was shot in the abdomen.

Holly Arceneaux, 36, of Plano and Michael Matise, 24, of Dallas, were treated at the hospital and later discharged.

Police do not know the motives for the shootings. They are investigating the case in The Gas Pipe.
