Professor Paul Krueger: Krueger’s triple murders

By Therese Lisieux on April 13th, 2009

Professor Paul Krueger has been teaching for 15 years at Penn State University. Krueger was on parole for three murders he committed almost 40 years ago.

In April 1965, Krueger was 17 when he ran away from home. Krueger was with a friend and they had a cache of weapons. Krueger saw a group of three men fishing and he shot them. Krueger was caught, tried and convicted to three life sentences. The widows of the men did not ask the prosecution for the death sentence to be passed on Krueger. Krueger made use of his time in prison to study. After 12 and a half years, Krueger managed to get his parole, despite having been sentenced to three life sentences.

Penn State University was unaware of Krueger’s lifetime parole background and his previous triple murders. When there was a change in policies for parolees, Penn State found out the truth about Krueger.

Paul Krueger resigned from Penn State and he is currently job hunting. Krueger thinks he has served his time and deserves an equal chance at living in society.
