Donnette Sanz, 33, a traffic agent in New York, was hit by a van when she crossed an intersection on Thursday, August 14, 2008. Donnette Sanz was pregnant.

After the van hit her, Donnette Sanz was pushed into the path of a school bus, which struck her too. Donnette Sanz was sent to hospital and her baby was delivered by Caesarean operation. The baby’s condition was critical. The baby weighed 3 pounds and 6 oz.

The van’s driver, Walter Walker, 72, was arrested and charged with criminal negligent homicide and driving without a valid license. New York mayor Michael R Bloomberg met Agent Donnette Sanz’s husband at the hospital and offered praises for Donnette Sanz and condolences.
