Gregory Smith, 23, is known as the praying robber. Smith’s new video is below. Smith has been linked to at least two robberies. Smith was arrested after surveillance video showed him trying to rob a store called “Ädvance America”, in Indianapolis.

The clerk at Advance America, Angela Montez, started crying and Smith felt remorseful. Montez and Smith prayed to God and hugged each other. This incident gave Smith the nickname of the “praying robber”. Smith said he didn’t rob Advance America but took Montez’s cell phone. Police claimed Smith removed $20 from the cash register.

Smith allegedly robbed a store called the Pay Day Loan at Massachusetts Avenue on October 14. Surveillance tape showed Smith conducting a robbery. Smith is facing charges for this robbery.

Smith said he has been praying daily since his detention in jail.

Smith said he was a licensed heating and air technician who has been jobless for one year. Smith claimed he served in the US Air Force for 4 years. Smith has a girlfriend and a daughter, 2 years old.
