Poonam Yadav ate some pills and was rushed to hospital. Yadav was ill on Saturday, March 21. Yadav was alleged to have overdosed on pills but that was not clear. Yadav was described to be hospitalized  in a critical condition.

Poonam Yadav’s mother, Shivratri, found her unconscious in her own room. Yadav was sent to the ER of Civil Hospital. Her family refused to discuss or speculate why Poonam Yadav ate the pills.

Poonam Yadav was a runner up in last season’s Saregamapa in 2008. Saregamapa is India’s equivalent of American Idol.
