Plaxico Burress’s home in Totowas was searched. Burress was out of town but his wife was present. Police removed the blood stained pants Burress wore when he accidentally shot himself. The stained shoes were also removed.

Police found a 9-mm handgun, a .30-06-caliber rifle and the ammunition, including a clip for a .45 gun. Investigators have to find out about the registration of the firearms. Burress has a court date on March 31.

New York Giants have suspended Plaxico Burress for the rest of this season. Burress was supposed to get $1 million for his signing on bonus but that has been with-held.

Plaxico Burress has another legal trouble in Florida. Burress was alleged to have rear ended a woman’s car. Burress was driving his $140,000 Mercedes Benz during this incident. Burress’ car insurance had lapsed before this accident. Burress did not make premiums on his car insurance.
