In Jakarta, Indonesia, Ahmad Suradji was convicted of killing 42 women & girls. Ahmad Suradji thought that their deaths would give him supernatural powers.

Ahmad Suradji, 57, was executed by firing squad on Thur. July 10 2008. Ahmad Suradji practised magic. Some thought that Ahmad Suradji was a sorcerer. Amnesty International, a U.K. group, failed to reverse his sentence.

Ahmad Suradji was arrested in May 1997. A total of 42 corpses were recovered from around his house. Ahmad Suradji buried his victims up to the waist and strangled them. Ahmad Suradji’s wife was also convicted but she got a life sentence.

Ahmad Suradji’s body could not be buried immediately because the relatives of the victims had gathered at the cemetery. The realtives had planned to disrupt the funeral of Ahmad Suradji.
