Phylis Canion, of Cuero, Texas, found a dead Chupacabra in August 2009. Canion said she found the Chupacabra, which was a victim of a roadkill, just outside her ranch. Canion said she believed it was a Chupacabra.

Canion said she lost 26 chickens during the last 2 years. Canion claimed her dead chickens were drained of blood. Canion believed a Chupacabra got them. Canion has preserved the head of the Chupacabra roadkill and intends to send it for taxidermy.

Some people said the chupacabra may be just a different species of dog.
