Michael Lohan and Kristi Kaufmann had a relationship for a month while Michael Lohan was still married to Dina Lohan. Kristi Kaufmann claimed that she gave birth to a daughter, Ashley Kaufmann, from that union. Ashley Kaufmann is now 13. A magazine has paid Ashley Kaufmann to pose for a fashion shoot.

Kristi Kaufmann gave an interview to OK magazine. She claimed that she tried to ask Michael Lohan to assume responsibility for his daughter, Ashley Kaufmann but he did not do anything.

Kristi Kaufmann said that she met Michael Logan in the 1980s through a mutual friend. In 1994,  Kristi Kaufmann & Michael Lohan were reunited in a meeting and that prolonged to a relationship that lasted for about 4 weeks.  Kristi Kaufmann claimed that Michael Lohan told her that he was separated from his wife, Dina Lohan, at the point of time when they hooked up together.

Michael Lohan  said that if the paternity test proves that he is not the father of Ashley Kaufmann, he will sue Kristi Kaufmann for libel and defamation.
