By Clarencia Cynrae on April 29th, 2009May 6 – Paula Abdul performed for the first time on American Idol. Abdul, 56, had been a dancer, choreographer and singer almost all her life so her stage performance went smoothly. Abdul sang and danced to her song, “I’m Just Here For The Music”.
Ryan Seacrest sat at Abdul’s vacated seat at the judges’ table, where he joined the judges to give Abdul their support. Abdul’s return to singing followed intense speculation that American Idol may have a re-shuffling of judges. Kara was rumored to have been fired after one season but Cowell has refuted this rumor.
Paula Abdul gave an energetic performance that was exciting and well choreographed. Abdul included the lifting which was typical of cheerleading dances. Abdul tapped into her roots.

American Idol results for 5/6/09 are ready. The voters sent Allison Iraheta home.
American Idol 2009 will have three guys in the top three semi finalists. Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen will sing their hearts out next week for two songs each.

Ryan Seacrest & Debbie Williams: Seacrest & Williams injured in American Idol accident (photos)
American Idol stage set had an accident today. Ryan Seacrest was descending down the retractable staircase when it retracted too fast before he was fully descended on the ground. Seacrest was injured.
What was worse was Debbie Williams, who was walking behind Seacrest when the stairs retracted faster than normal. Williams tried in vain to hold on to prevent herself falling. Williams fell anyway and suffered a cut on her leg. Williams was sent to hospital.

What were the American Idol results 4/29/09? Who got sent home on April 29?
Allison Iraheta and Danny Gokey were the crowd favorites for this week. Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Matt Giraud lagged behind in viewer votes.
Eventually, when votes were tallied, Matt Giraud and Adam Lambert had the lowest vote counts. Giraud could not be saved since the judges had already saved him one time in the past. American Idol sent Matt Giraud home on April 29.
As for Adam Lambert, he did not waste his nearly $2000 D & C white suit. I wonder if it was the suit that put viewers off?

Adam needed a a bit of reality to come his way. If he had gotten any more cocky, it would have hurt his chances. As for Matt, I think he did this the best way. What he wanted was to be seen by millions of people and to get the attention of music labels so he could strike a deal himself. Smart man, I say. Otherwise he’d have to do it the old fashioned way and work for fame
