The Paula Abdul twitter attempts to break the conventional way of breaking bed news. Abdul decided to let the cat out of the bag herself. Abdul twittered about leaving American Idol as her contract had expired. Abdul allegedly asked for a better contract after knowing that Ryan Seacrest had signed a $10 million contract starting 2010.

The gossip went that Paula Abdul was offered more than $5 million but it fell short of her expectations.
