Paul McCartney had his photo taken with the rest of the Beatles for the album cover of Abbey Road. It was the last Beatle album recorded together. The picture, taken in 1969, allegedly was full of symbols of death. McCartney was targetted because he was the odd Beatle out, having been barefoot, holding a cigarette and being seen as different.

The London newspaper, Daily Mail, has done a write up of 12 points which are conspiracy theories on death symbolism and how they were related to McCartney.
