Paul House: House’s new trial after 22 years on death row (photo)
Paul House, 47, spent 20 years in prison and on death row because of a conviction. House was convicted of murdering Carolyn Muncey almost 23 years ago in 1985.
DNA testing was unavailable back then. Recently, House’s DNA was tested and compared against DNA found on Muncey. The DNA evidence did not match House’s or Muncey’s husband, Hubert Muncey. The Prosecution is interested to re-try House in a new trial.
Paul House has MS ( multiple sclerosis) and uses a wheel chair. House was released into his mother’s care last July 2008. House is expected to stand for anew trial on June 1, 2009.
