Christopher Lanum, an Army Spc, was a suspect in the stabbing of another soldier at Fort Eustis, Spc Mitchell Stone. Lanum was dressed like The Joker, a character in Batman. Lanum drove a mini van with his girlfriend, Patsy Ann Marie Montowski, on the passenger seat.

Mitchell Stone was treated at a hospital and released.

Police tried to stop Lanum’s vehicle. Lanum pointed a loaded shotgun at police and they shot him. Lanum died. Montowski was arrested and charged with being accessory after the fact to assault.

Patsy Ann Marie Montowski arrested.
