Patrizia Reggiano was married to Maurizio Gucci. Maurizio was the grandson of Guccio Gucci. Reggiano was convicted of the shooting death of her husband Maurizio in 1995.

Reggiano was sentenced to 29 years in prison for her role in a conspiracy plot to kill Maurizio. Reggiani claimed she was innocent of the accused crime.

Ridley Scott, the director for Fox 2000 productions, is allegedly negotiating for Angelina Jolie to portray Patrizia Reggiano. Scott is trying to rope in Leonardo DiCaprio to play Maurizio Gucci.
