Patrick Clugston, 44, a former high school teacher, was arrested. Clugston was charged with having an inappropriate relationship with a female student in Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. Clugston taught English in the school.

Clugston started a relationship with the student in 2003. They ended their relationship in June 2003. In March 2009, the former student informed the school. Clugston admitted to misconduct and resigned.

Patrick Clugston was slapped with charges related to endangering the welfare of a child, indecent assault, and corruption of minors.
