Palin Abstinence: Bristol Palin pregnancy shows Palin abstinence education fails

Sarah Palin did not support sex education programs in schools. Sarah Palin did not support school based clinics and the distribution of contraceptives in school. Sarah Palin said that explicit sex education programs did not get her support. John McCain supported abstinence only education to teach the young to reserve sex for after marriage.
Willow Palin is 13 now. All eyes are on Willow Palin and the abstinence education policy.

This is a plus. As Mark Steyn points out in his recent best seller, America Alone, if our western civilization is demographically to survive in the increasingly “hostile to the west” islamic world — and not end up like the sinking European populations — these are the precise people (the Bristol Palins’) we should thank for increasing their progeny.

She can say this: Her daughter Bristol heard the very best way to avoid pregnancy (and STDs) and, for one or more reasons, chose not to follow the advice.
Does Bristol’s failure to practice what she heard therefore automatically mean that many thousands of others have not benefited from opting for a lifestyle of abstinence? Of course not.

Seriously. I mean, everybody on the right was so willing to jump on the Edwards love child bandwagon. The National Enquirer gained a little street cred on that baby.
If they are right about Palin? How about Willow?
I hear those DNA paternity tests are pretty accurate these days.

Sarah Palin eloped and gave birth to her oldest son within 9 mos. You can’t tell me that she didn’t know she was pregnant prior to her wedding day. Apparently the ‘Palin Abstinence’ didn’t work for her or the daughter.
