Jose Luis Rubi-Nava, 38, of Castle Rock, Colorado, pleaded guilty to first degree murder of Luz Maria Franco Fierros, 49. Rubi-Nava accepted a plea deal and he was sentenced to life in prison instead of the death penalty.
