Oscar Hernandez, the mayor of Bell, rented out a home that was used to run a methamphetamine lab. Mr Hernandez’s son and his daughter live in one of the units on the same lot. Mr Hernandez said he rented his unit to a young couple in their 20s and did not know they set up a meth lab in the unit. When police searched the place, they found two young children, aged 2 and 3 and they have been placed under the protective care of the state.
