The unexpected has happened. Manny Pacquiao defeated Oscar De La Hoya. Pacquiao was light on his feet, threw punches with power and deadly target. Pacquiao delivered a punch to Hoya’s left eye, which swelled to such proportions that Hoya was almost single sighted. Hoya declined to fight Round 9. Pacquiao won on a technical knockout.

With this victory, Manny Pacquiao has improved his record to 48-3, with 2 drawn and 36 wins inside the distance.

In contrast, Oscar De la Hoya fell to 39-6 with 30 knockouts.

Oscar De Le Hoya fights Manny Pacquiao on Saturday, Dec. 6, at MGM Grand Garden. Manny Pacquiao fights at super bantamweight or lighter. De La Hoya is bigger in physical size and is expected to have a short fight with the smaller Pacquiao.
