Oren Adar and Mickey Ray Smith, of San Diego, have won a lawsuit to allow them to use both their names for their adopted son’s Louisiana birth certificate. Oren Adar & Mickey Smith are a couple who are of the same sex. The judge said that Louisiana’s Office of Vital Records has to respect the New York State court in which Adar and Smith adopted their son. The Louisiana Attorney General’s office may appeal the ruling.
