A man, 44, his girlfriend, 42, and their son, about 2 or 3 years old, were found dead at their home in Orange County. Police said the three died in the murder-suicide killings. The apartment manager was worried after missing the family for several days. Police went inside the apartment on Tuesday, May 5.

The dead were killed by gunshot wounds to the head. The man wrote a suicide note and a gun was found near him. Police think the man killed his girlfriend and son and then turned the gun on himself.

The family had lived for 5 years together. They lived in Orange County and in the same apartment since 2006.

Police will release the names of the dead after their relatives are contacted.
