Olympic Beach Volleyball winners were Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh. Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor scored their second consecutive gold medal in Olympic beach volleyball on Thursday, August 21, 2008.

Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor have won an amazing 108 matches in sucession. Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor beat Wang Jie and Tian Jia – 21-18, 21-18. Kerri Walsh was undisturbed by the rain that beat down during the Olympic beach volleyball match. Walsh was nicknamed “Six Feet of Sunshine” because she was always sunny, optimistic and positive.
