Oly Ivy, former Oakwood police chief, was fired after he was accused of suing his Taser gun on his wife. Oly Ivy, of the Central Texas town, was charged with aggravated assault and he has been jailed.

Oly Ivy was arrested near Palestine, Texas on Monday. Ivy was fired on Monday night, April 6. Ivy has to post a bond of $100,000 before he can be released from jail.

Oly Ivy was employed in February 2009 as a full time police officer for the town of 500 residents. Oakwood is about 100 miles southeast of Dallas. Besides Oly Ivy, Oakwood’s police force has two reserve officers.
