Years ago, before Michael Jackson and Propofol were linked together, someone else highlighted the use of propofol. Michelle Herndon, a student at the University of Florida (UF), died from a dose of Propofol. Herndon, 24, died in 2005.

Oliver Travis O’Quinn, a trained anesthesia nurse, was accused and convicted of killing Michelle Herndon. The prosecution established O’Quinn injected Herndon, in Gainsville, with Propofol.

O’Quinn has been sentenced after the conviction. O’Quinn has been sentenced to life in prison, without the provision of applying for parole.
