Oklahoma Octopus: Oklahoma Octopus (video)
By Clarencia Cynrae on June 21st, 2009The Oklahoma Octopus is a myth. Locals blame the Oklahoma Octopus for the increased number of drownings in the lakes of Oklahoma. In 2007, a young boy swam far out into the lake and then he claimed something was pulling him under. A rescue attempt was tried but the boy disappeared under the water and never resurfaced.
The Oklahoma Octopus is described as having red-brown leathery skin and being the size of a horse. In mid 2008, the unexplained drowning deaths in the lakes of Oklahoma had increased by 40%.
