Barack Obama scattered the ashes of his beloved grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, whom he called Toot. Toot is the Hawaiian word for grandmother. Obama and his family held a memorial service for Madelyn Dunham, in Oahu, Hawaii, on Dec. 23. After the service, the faimly went to the sea to scatter the ashes of Madelyn Dunham.
