Barack Obama sat down with David Letterman on the “Late Show”, on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Obama clarified to Letterman his comment about putting the lipstick on the pig.

McCain’s lot of failed policies is the pig. Obama meant Sarah Palin is the lipstick. Putting the Sarah Palin on the failed policies would mean the same thing. Failed policies do not work, even with Sarah Palin on board. The Obama Letterman discussion was amicable with laughter breaking out of the audience at appropriate points.
