I have personally spoken with my good friend Jeff Farias. He did not quit. This is a fabrication. They fired him because he would not stand by and be treated like dirt anymore by those in control of Nova M Radio. We have started a web site: bringjeffback.com

Jeff Farias’ show was simply not that good and had a small fan base. The same callers calling in all the time and the guests were weak, as could be expected of a local radio show. He also tried to give credibility to the 911 conspiracy theories, which just makes him sound like a left-wing lunatic.
The addition of the very professional Rachel Maddow, whose star is on the rise, rounds out what is now a strong schedule.
I hear so much about Farias’ loyalty, yet did he not walk right over Dr. Mike, who hired him, to get his own slot when Nova M bought the station?

Cythina Black is now featuring in bold headlines that Jeff Farias quit ! She also repeats the smear by the engineer who para-phrasing says that Jeff and the fired employees careers are in the toilet ! Excuse me here, but Jeff Farias hasn’t commented publicly except to say that he was not fired ! He has not attacked anyone at the station! Yet, these people who smear him also add insult to injury by becoming god and render judgement on Jeff Farias, Bily Foster and Kim Macias by saying their careers are in the toilet. Even if they were right that Jeff quit (and they’re not) there is no need to go on and smear Jeff by passing their godly judgement that these good employees no longer have lives or careers by saying that their careers are in the toilet! I love all of these people still working at Nova M yet even though they are wrong whether purposefully or accidentally by smearing Jeff Farias and the others fired in the “October Massacre” of 2008 we do not play god and tell them they will no longer have careers and smear them ! Please, we plead with you whom are still at Nova M radio let Jef defend his legal rights in peace against the ownership and stop attacking and smearing him. He has not once publicly attacked and especially told you your jobs are in the toilet. Please stop the blood letting! All we want is to get Jeff Farias, Billy Foster and Kim Farias their legal due. Do not attack them for defending their legal rights as workers! Remember, those of you at Nova M radio we love you and know that some of you are in the middle. Let Jeff get his legal due and wish him the best as we wish you the best. Jeff Farias’ show wasn’t that great. He gave credibility to that WINGNUT Lt. Shine. Now I don’t have to change the channel for 20 minutes when Lt Shine comes on to ramble (yes ramble, as in jump from unconnected topic to unconnected topic) on and on about the Royalty of the world or some such nonsense. I hate to see anyone lose their job, but his show was lackluster.

Jeff Farias was THE voice of local progressive talk radio for one very big reason, because he is one of us – a local bro you can count on! Rachel is great, but she’s all over the place, MSNBC, etc — and she’s not a local voice. Neither is Tom or Mike… There’s just no reason to listen to that time slot anymore… Sorry folks, I’m gone.

Yes, we do not want the advertisers to be blamed, Jeff himself has asked for us to please not boycott the advertisers, even though there is nothing wrong with asking them to sponsor Jeff where ever he goes. Remember, they can play nice at the station but it is not Jeff who is attacking the station publicly except to say that he is working out legal issues with the ownership of Nova M. So why then is the ownership continuing to let certain people working there disparage Jeff’s name by smearing him?
Because, they are so selfish that they believe unless they smear Jeff Farias and ruin his reputation then he will go to another station with his followers. the ownership needs to know that their not going to be destroyed if there is another progressive on the dial or if there is another progressive network besides their network. So, remember, we love them and are asking them to please stop attacking Jeff publicly, because he is not attacking them.

Jeff was the best on 1480. Him and Mike Malloy are my favorite. I will definitly miss Jeff and the local news he brought me as I’m an Arizonan. He was inspiration to me and many people i know. Can’t wait to hear you again and soon Jeff! Best of luck from all your fans. In the mean time, everyone write your letters to Nova M and 1480 KPHX!!!

Late update: Someone is spreading the rumor that I intentionally put on one of the dailykos diaries that I Leonard Clark purposefully typed that Jeff Farias said: He was not fired. This was a typographical error and those spreading this saying that it wasn’t a typographical error on my part need to understand that I have made many statements saying that I believe Jeff Farias said he was fired before this typographical error and after and I still strongly believe in my opinion that Jeff Farias stated he was fired. Further, I have changed my password at Dailykos because there are those that are “sick” enough in their madness to bring down the reputation of Jeff Farias that they would try to go into my account at Dailykos. All, I can say is if there are those who are smearing Jeff and they are using my account at dailykos, that what they are doing is illegal and they need to know that the authorities will be notified if they continue to do so.
1. Further, I and my loved ones are becoming concerned that there are individuals out there who are for destroying Jeff Farias’s reputation who would resort to violence against myself, my loved ones and others who support Jeff, I Leonard Clark am now fearing for the lives of myself and my loved ones. Please, we ask you who are using these violent tactics to first of all, consider this a mental illness wherein your “hate and anger” to bring down Jeff Farias that you would use verbal intimidation or violence against myself, my loved ones and the supporters of Jeff Farias. You have already gotten yourself or selves “in deep” with trying to unsuccessfully smear Jeff Farias and by using intimidation tactics of a verbal nature and implying those of a physical nature against myself, my loved ones and the supporters of progressive radio host and personality Jeff Farias.
We want you to know that your attempted intimidation will not silence Jeff, myself (Leonard Clark) or the rest of my fellow progressive listeners.
I want everyone to report immediately if they have been intimidated whether verbally or physically because of their support of Jeff Farias. Lastly, please know, that if my job is threatened, someone incapacitates or kills me, my loved ones that we will know who “the suspects” are. We have already gone through this before with the murder of a great reporter whom I greatly respect and admire as a hero to this day: Don Bolles a man who would not be silenced and worked here in Arizona for the Arizona Republic during the 70’s who gave his life in search of the truth.
The irony is, those who would smear Jeff Farias and attempt intimidation against Jeff Farias or/and ourselves claim their “progressive” and that they hold “progressive” values. Their doing exactly what Jeff didn’t do as a progressive: try to silence the difference of opinions that people had when they called into his show. How these so called progressive folks could hypocritically smear and try to silence Jeff Farias just because he has a difference of opinion is beyond me. Please, spread the word and let’s keep our support for Jeff Farias as strong as ever to get him back on the air whether via internet or radio. They will not scare us off esecially right before the most important presidential election since 1932.
Hopefully, we can together through our progressive family we can support each other and Jeff Farias and we can bring a “progressive voice” back to our family that listens to us and stands tall for progressive values and not like those who are trying to smear Jeff Farias by trying to silence those who disagree with them, this is not what true progressives would do but to the contray: something the Bush Crime Family and some of the corrupt rats in government would do.

Effective immediately I will no longer be host of the Unreported News Radio Show on KPHX. I feel the situation there is one that I can not work in and refuse to try. It is sad and I hate to see the current situation going on. I will have more to say at a later time. Thanks to all who have supported me and look for further announcements from me.
Well, there you go folks. This is indeed sad news! I’m sure I’m speaking for most everyone that we wish Sarge the best and that we hope he will join Jeff Farias where ever he is able to broadcast from in (hopefully) the near future. It is critical that like Jeff, Sarge’s voice continues to be heard because he speaks for those who are not being heard especially in the Gulf States where Katrina’s devastating effects are still tragically being felt today, due to the inept, criminal response of the Bush Crime Family. To bad, that the innocent people in the middle have to get hurt in this firing of Jeff Farias over at Nova M Radio. It’s bad enough that Jeff Farias in my opinion was fired or pushed out, but now those who continue to smear the reputation of Jeff Farias, have it seems hurt “Sarge Herb Phelps” at Nova M just to try and get at Jeff Farias’s reputation. “Sarge” is to be commended for standing up for his convictions in refusing to take a side and now unfortunately having to resign because of this whole controversy.
Why cannot those people who continuosly spew their venom at Jeff Farias just understand that he is not threatening Nova M radio or even has said one thing bad publicly about it? Could those people doing this please stop this blood letting madness? Jeff, will be back on the air on a new station or new progressive network and life will go on, so please, stop attacking us who want Jeff Farias and Sarge Herb Phelps to get back on the air. Their for taking on the Bush Crime Family and the fascists yet they are being smeared by those who claim to be progressives.
hmm… right before an election some of the top standard bearers for Barak Obama and progressive values are being forced out of progressive radio. Now, isn’t that rather curious timing? It seems we have some within our progressive movement (moles) who are doing their best to de-unify our struggle for Democracy in America and around the world. Remember the government spies that helped break up A.I.M. (the American Indian Movement)?
Let’s just see who seems to be sympathetic to Bloody John McCain in Progressive Radio today. Do a google search of all the general managers in progressive radio and then put in Bloody John McCain’s name and see what you find.

Update:
I have something lined up and will be announcing it shortly. I feel it is time I explain more why I made the decision since I have talked on the phone with Anita Drobny and told her why I decided to leave. She is totally informed of emails I have received and has expressed her disapproval of this to me in them.
I left because I was told I had to come out on one side or the other by one person and got emails from him trying to get me to side with him. However, I felt since I was not involved and was not there when everything happened it was not my fight and I wanted to maintain a good relationship with all involved.
I was saddened by the decision this person made when he went into the DemocracyInteractive.com chat room the first day Jeff’s show didn’t air and he engaged people in an angry manner, even referring to people as you people and telling them to get their own radio station. Then he called me and in an angry voice referred to monique as “your f–king girlfriend because she expressed she found KPHX boring that day without Jeff. The person then went on after my admonishment of that statement to tell me I had to take a side, which I refused to do. They told me I had to make a decision by Thursday and I informed him my answer would be the same on Thursday as it was then. I was informed by Anita Drobny when she called me that he didn’t have that authority and was not acting on their behalf. I informed her I could not work with person since he has become too heavy handed banning Leonard Clark and Democracy Interactive from being part of the station, which Anita agreed was not his called.
I feel this person has taken a fight that isn’t his fight and now I have been told by Anita that indeed he isn’t speaking for them, and now he is making anyone that doesn’t side with his opinion an enemy. I have called on Anita to restrain him and sent her emails he has sent me which she found to be disturbing to her. This person isn’t even involved and yet he has appointed himself judge, jury and executioner without the approval of Anita Drobny.
Since I believe everyone has the right to decide for themselves as they wish and since I feel I would rather focus on issues like Katrina problems, healthcare, Mountain Top Removal and issues that I feel are more important to more people I didn’t want to let something that wasn’t my fight become more important. Obviously this person doesn’t feel the same way and therefore I had to leave. Jeff was told my position by me and he accepted it right off and we have maintained a normal and respectful relationship, as has Anita Drobny and myself, however this person has chosen to let it remain as way more important than it is. I began to feel I had to break my ties with this person and hoped that he would realize his constant efforts to keep this unfortunate situation stirred up as unaccepted and even caused me to feel he has personalized it to a point of him having become unhealthy.
I deeply regret it happened, and while I wish the friendship was able to be savaged I no longer have faith in this person and doubt I could again. He has since sent me an email making a claim that I had a conversation that never took place, and then tried to convince me it did by sending me another email to try and convince me otherwise. I immediately sent this to Anita Drobny asking to get this person to quit harrassing me which she said she would take care of it. I hope that will indeed make this person realize he needs to move on and stop his insane attacks as they only do more harm and no good comes from them.
There is the story and that is my final statement on it even if this person decides to continue I will not since all I have to say about it is in this post. It is time he grows up and realizes it is time to move on and leave such silly stuff as this behind.

Hello folks. There is now alot of talk about a new local show that is to appear in Jeff’s place. It’s a free world and their business to do whatever they want, but don’t worry you will also be able to tune in Jeff Farias on the Internet and as soon as we can, set up a donation mechanism to help us get Jeff back on the air with our voices being heard not only in Phoenix but the rest of the nation and the world.
Remember, there are those who might only be able to donate a penny and there are those who might be able to donate a million dollars but we are going to put our collective efforts together and get our progressive family back! I have been calling Jeff daily and hopefully I will be able to announce very soon where we can go either on the radio or the Internet to hear him and call in. We all need to start saving our pennies and… if we know of anybody willing to sponsor Jeff Farias on the net and on the air please tell them to come to this site(bringjeffback.com) because they will know -VERY SOON where to go to sponsor Jeff. Let’s start thinking of advertisers who are willing to help out and let’s reward them with our business for having the courage to support our progressive voice: Jeff Farias on the air!

Hey there, I am a photographer from scotland, UK. I love American progressive radio whether it be 1480kphx, nova M radio, air america radio or whatever. Jeff’s show was obne of my favourites.
I am just a little confused. Could someone just clear the smoke and tell me in no uncertain way what happened to spark all of this off? I’d hate to not hear jeff anymore.

What a turn about, first Mike N. gets the boot and Jeff is on all afternoon, now the situation is reversed and Jeff is out.
Sure Jeff has some views that are over the top, but so do the best conservative broadcasters. However unlike the latter group, Jeff is a thoughtful guy who isn’t interested in picking fights or otherwise maligning those who disagree with him.
Is it true what they say about nice guys?
