Why show them? What purpose would it serve? Would YOU feel the same if it were your family in the tragedy and their pictures shown? How about YOUR OWN after YOUR potential demise? It’s wrong on ALL accounts.

THIS IS REDICULOUS….TAKE THOSE PICTURES DOWN
NO ONE WOULD WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO THEM!!!!!!!
I PRAY FOR NIKKI AND HER FAMILY MY HEART GOES OUT TO THEM.

I’d be upset about it too, but seriously, you get curious. If they just say ‘gorey pictures’ then you would obviously be wondering how bad it could be. Which would seem to be the reason that both of you even found this site. Although, if it were me, or my child (not that I have 1, I’m only 13…)I’d want these off…but still, it’s…I don’t know…
Well, Jen-z out
P.S. RAWR says Near the purple dinosaur!
LOL

This is so awful, I pray for her family, I couldn’t imagine having to relive my childs fatal death every time I get on the internet, would make me never want to use a computer ever again.

Speed kills! And rightly so.

These pictures being posted on the web is just another example of the total misuse of the internet. Because of idiots like the people who post things like this, there will be an internet police force and internet registry where we will need to register our MAC address then they will take away any freedom we have left surfing the internet.

those cops names, addresses, photos, & family members addresses should be posted on the web, also. paybacks are a b*tch

I’ve also lost a love one in fatal car accident. and for people to accuse someone who is dead of being in the wrong, when they themselves know nothing about them at all, can go to hell! It hurts to even see pictures when they were alive but to see the pictures of their death is unthinkable. i pray for your family along with all the families who have lost the way we have.

Why not have those pictures on the web? I think they should be up on poster explaining why people need to slow down while driving. Her accident was senseless, and a tragedy for the family. But young people need to understand the dangers of speeding, most of them do it to show off even. They should make videos of all the wrecks from stuff like this and make speed offenders watch it to learn of the dangers. I understand why her family don’t want the pics up, but at the same time them suing just to make up a buck is messed up also. Everybody is sue happy, sad to see her family want to profit off of they daughters death.

its kind of her own fault for taking the car without permission for one, and two for driving it at high speeds, unfortunatly she didnt get to learn this valuable lesson by paying with her life but hopefully this will allow other teenagers out there to see how uncool they may look if they do the same thing.

Shut the fuck up. First amendment assholes welcome to America. Anyone could have taken pics and posted them with a telephoto lens or got in there before the cops. So just because the cops to took the pics who gives a shit. They should show these to everyone as an example of what happens when you drive like an idiot. If you don’t like this kind of thing then move your happy ass out of my country. Read the Constitution it says nothing about the government being a babysitter we have the right to say and print what we want. GET THE FUCK OVER IT!

@Roberta Speed kills! And rightly so.
You obviously have no idea what it feels like to lose a loved one in a car accident. Yes, speeding is wrong & yes, there should be consequences, but that does NOT mean that someone should die over it. NOR does it mean that a heartless person like you should comment about it. Even though I’m not the most religious person..I will pray for you.
By the way, Karma always has a way of rearing its ugly head on something so callous.

These pictures should be taken down. End of story. There is no ‘payback’ there is no ’speed kills lol’. Whatever the reasons for taking the car (be it brain tumor, cocaine, or otherwise) a life was taken and it isn’t funny.
Yes, these pictures should be taken down. This family is in a state of unbelieveable agony. They do not need a reminder of their daughters death. They weren’t allowed to identify the body for that very reason. It is more than unfortunate that this happened and I can only hope the family finds a way to move on. I also hope the lawsuit is a genuine attempt to do good and does that…

this is awesome

Every single one of you people LOOKED so shut up and who cares! Doesn’t mean I or others don’t feel bad for this girl or her family but really people get curious and look, meh, if it were my bloodied up body someone posted then whatever, you want to look then look, what happened happened and pics or not it isn’t going to change. As for the friends and fam..don’t search for these pics and you won’t find them.

The parents are publicity hounds. Internet attention span is very short and left alone, the pics would have faded from view. The parents are somewhat culpable in their daughters death. They failed to prevent her from driving a car she had been forbidden to drive. She was an adult and stole the car. They certainly had a home safe where the keys should have been locked away, the Porsche locked and alarm on! The police should investigate their responsiblity for her death. It is certainly a case of negligence.

May 15th, 2009 at 12:26 pm

As gruesome as these photos are, I respect the sanctity of the Internet and the fact it allows complete freedom of expression. Absolutely no censorship of any kind…
June 5th, 2009 at 10:27 am
Captain Gary you are a complete imbecile. On one hand you say the parents are culpable yet then you say the woman was an adult – you can’t have it both ways jerk. And how many people do you know who keep their car keys in a safe? I have a porsche and I don’t keep my keys in a safe. Get a life.
Her parents aren’t publicity hounds they are trying to protect Nikki’s 3 younger sisters from seeing the photos. Yes I have seen the photos – and the ones dealing strictly with the car should be used to make young kids realize a vehicle can be deadly but the more graphic ones are sick plain and simple

Welcome to America. If you do not like it, move elsewhere. I lost a sister, and 2 others in a car accident. ( an actual accident, not throwing a little fit and taking off in daddy’s car). Funny thing, no one in our town drove like a ass after that. The damn news people beat us there. They have that right. Any accident picture is going to be sad, some will make you sick. Cool thing about the internet, if you don’t want to see it, DON’T CLICK ON IT!!!! Shame on the family for making it worse. They feel they need to punish someone else for the daughters ignorance. Wonder where she got it from.

I think the fact that a cop knew posting or even the taking of these pictures shows that he knew that ppl wld b interested n seeing them. It’s just like rubbernecking when we pass an accident. It’s also y we have some of the blood & guts n movies etc. It’s human nature. A morbid curiosity yes, but a fact of life. Some more than others. I work n the medical field & I’ll b honest, there were some things I WANTED 2 c. Some I didn’t. Like a very small baby tht was ttly formed & obviously died either in utero or during childbirth tht was n a jar of formaldehyde n one of my Anatomy classes. Stuff like that.
I must admit 2 tht whn I 1st saw this story, my curiosity was peaked. Just like n school &, I’m sure like plenty of othr ppl. I HAD 2 lk. I was HORRIFIED & I haven’t been able 2 get it out of my head since. I’ve seen some pretty hefty stuff, but by the time patients get 2 me, it’s not quite so traumatic. I don’t see the 1’s like this poor girl who didn’t stand a chance.
It immediately made me think of MY son who is 18, drives like a maniac speed demon & refuses 2 wear a seatbelt. Teens & some n early 20’s think they r immortal.
In addition, especially as a parent, but putting tht ttly aside, I think it’s DISGUSTING tht the family & friends had 2 not only deal with the pics, but c thm & hve thm sent 2 their phones & email 2. I can’t even imagine how they must have felt!!!
Ppl DON’T put thmselves n others shoes & THNK abt how they wld feel if it was THEIR daughter. Not as hard, but even their sister, Mother, wife, friend etc.
The ONLY place I wld accept &/or agree tht pics lke these wld b acceptabe, & tht’s a BIG maybe b/c of the very graphic nature, is as a part of DUI classes, drivers improvement, drivers ED, or traffic school & tht wld ONLY b with the families consent. Only b/c it MIGHT make othr young ppl or drunk drivers think. I just don’t know if I wld want my son 2 c such a horrible pic. Maybe if they just showed what it did 2 the car. I’m just not sure tht tht gives thm a good enough idea of what happns 2 the person inside.
None of us think or like 2 or want 2 think of EXACTLY what an accident like this 1 actually can do & does do 2 a person. We don’t want 2 think about our own mortality & we can’t really grasp what really happens 2 a person in an accident like that.
