Nicole Brewer, a contestant in “The Biggest Loser” season seven, is married. Brewer met her husband, Damien Gurganious at a senior aerobics class at a YMCA in Brooklyn. Brewer weighed 300 pounds in 2006 and Gurganious was at 400 pounds back then.

Brewer, 38, and Gurganious, 32, went to the gym together and found they liked each other’s company. Gurganious dated Brewer and they were engaged around 2006/ 2007. Brewer and Gurganious wanted to look good for their wedding so they joined “The Biggest Loser” in season 7.

Gurganious weighed 381 pounds at the start of the show while Brewer weighed 269 pounds. After 6 months, Brewer lost weight and became 145 pounds while Gurganious tipped the scales at 241 pounds.

Brewer said she controlled her calorie intake and prepared her own food. Brewer said she counted calories and estimated the amount of exercise she would need to burn off the excess calories. Brewer also bought fresh vegetables and fruits from the farmer’s market for healthy food.

When Brewer got married, she wore a size 8 wedding dress. Gurganious wore a size 42 suit.
