Some 38,000 – 40,000 runners will compete in the New York marathon. There are celebrities running on Sunday’s 2008 New York Marathon. They are Olympic gold medal winners Brandi Chastain and Kerri Strug, Beth Ostrosky (Mrs. Howard Stern) and Ryan Reynolds (husband of Scarlett Johansson).
