Necco McCrawl, 21, a soldier from Hunter Army Airfield, was found dead on Thursday, July 2. McCrawl was discovered dead on a dirt road on Hutchinson Island, of Savannah River, in Georgia.

McCrawl’s child, 1 year old, was missing. A search revealed the child was abandoned a few miles away. The child was still in the car seat. McCrawl’s car, a 2002 Cadillac Deville, was missing. Police have suspicions that the carjacker may be a person known to McCrawl. McCrawl’s child was handed over to the mother.
