Nas the rapper was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). Nas was arrested on September 10, 2009 but the arrest was unknown until now. Nas was booked into jail and his mug shot was taken.

Nas was arrested in Henry County, in Georgia, where he lives. Police initially said charges will be filed against Nas. However, the DUI case has been dismissed because drug tests proved negative.

This was inspite of Nas having told cops he smoked weed (marijuana) at his friend’s house before he started driving. Nas was described as having a green colored tongue with raised taste buds. Nas’ pulse was measured at 116 beats per minute. The officer noticed Nas had eye tremors and body tremors. Nas’ car had a lingering smell of marijuana.

Nas was asked to perform a field sobriety test and he failed.

Nas has been attending court in his divorce case against his former wife.
