Updated November 6 – Nancy Cobbs’ body was identified as the fourth dead person found in Anthony Sowell’s home.

Nancy Cobbs, 43, was reported missing to the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority in April 2009. However, Cleveland police did not have any report of Cobbs as a missing person until Monday, November 2.

Updated November 5 – The third body has been identified by police as Tishana Culver. Ms Culver was 31 and had stayed in Cleveland.

Telacia Fortson’s remains have been positively identified as one of the bodies found in Anthony Sowell’s home. Her mother, Inez Fortson said Telacia, 31, went missing in June 2009. Telacia Fortson, of Cleveland, was reported missing on October 31, one day after Anthony Sowell’s home was reported to contain bodies. The first dead body identified at the Sowell home belonged to Tonia Carmichael, of Warrensville Heights.

Updated November 5 – Tanja Doss, 43, told her story of how Anthony Sowell attacked her in 2005. Doss claimed Sowell lured her with the offer of a beer. Sowell allegedly strangled her, ordered her to strip and forced her to stay the night. Doss said she escaped but never reported the attack. Doss said she was afraid because she was a former drug addict and ex convict.

Another woman, Gladys Wade, said Anthony Sowell attacked her in December 2008. Wade said Sowell tried strangling her but she attacked his face. Wade said during the struggle, she fell backwards down some steps and then out through a window.

Updated November 4 – Tania Carmichael, 52, is the first victim of Anthony Sowell who was identified. Carmichael went missing more than one year ago. Carmichael was describes as a mother who was struggling with a drug addiction. Carmichael disappeared in November 2008. Her daughter, Donita Carmichael, said her mother’s car was found 4 blocks away from Sowell’s home.

For some reason, some sites are writing that Ms Carmichael’s  first name was Tonia. I’m unsure who is correct. Fox News and their reader have mentioned the name as “Tania Carmichael”.

Updated November 3 – Police found and arrested Anthony Sowell. Cops found 10 or 11 bodies in Sowell’s home. One skull was without a body so the authorities were unsure if that was an 11th victim.

Anthony Sowell, a convicted sex offender, lived in Ohio, Cleveland. Police were alerted after they got a report on an alleged rape. Cops visited Sowell’s home to search for evidence. Sowell wasn’t at home.

Sowell’s 3rd floor had 2 decomposed bodies. There was one body in the basement and more bodies inside and outside Sowell’s home. On Saturday, law enforcement searched Sowell’s home for more dead people. There could be a total of 6 dead bodies or more.

Anthony Sowell, 50, is a former convict who served 15 years for a rape committed in 1989. There is a warrant of arrest for Sowell on felony rape and assault charges, allegedly done in September, inside his home. Cleveland Police has offered $12000 for information leading to the capture of Anthony Sowell.

Anthony Sowell is 6 feet tall, weighs 155 pounds and maybe having a moustache. Sowell made a living by collecting scrap metal.

A neighbor unwittingly alerted Sowell of the presence of police at his home by fetching him from his sister’s home nearby. The neighbor said she thought Sowell was one of the dead in the house so she went to look for him at his sister’s house. The neighbor was driving him back when Sowell decided to ask her to turn the car back and leave him at his sister’s home.
