MSNBC has repositioned two of its best political news anchors; Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews.

Olbermann and Matthews were relieved of their posts as anchors of live political news coverage because of criticism that they were strongly opinionated. A news anchor should preferably be seen as neutral in the heat of this presidential campaign. Olbermann and Matthews were replaced by David Gregory, a news man with NBC. Gregory is a White House correspondent who has a program on MSNBC. MSNBC and NBC have confirmed this arrangement. Matthews and Olbermann were supporters of Democrats. Olbermann said that he ad discussed this change with Phil Griffin, MSNBC President. Matthews and Olbermann will retain everything they had in the network and they are not being penalized.
