On June 9, 2008, Mohsen Youssefinejad was arrested. Youssefinejad received a crate of opium hidden in decorative frames. Youssefinejad picked up the crate laden with the opium hidden in hollowed frames.

Youssefinejad was convicted in February of two drug felonies. He was found guilty of smuggling opium.

Mohsen Youssefinejad, of Lake Forest, California, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for receiving smuggled opium worth $3 million.
