Miss Universe 2009 will be held on Sunday, August 23. This year’s beauty pageant has 84 contestants vying for the Miss Universe title. The beauty contest is held at Atlantis Resort, on Paradise Island.

Miss Universe will be broadcast on Sunday, on NBC TV. The results will be announced later.

Miss Ecuador Sandra Vinces, 19, and Miss Iceland Ingibjorg Egilsdottir, 24, have gathered large numbers of supporters. Vinces and Egilsdottir are tipped to win Miss Universe 2009.
